The Robots

ABB Robots

KMT Robotic Solutions AB typically relies on ABB’s mid-size 2400 model for its Cutting Box systems. The 2400 is a fast, accurate robot with a large work envelope (approx. 3 m) It can handle loads up to 10 kg and is ideal for a wide range of applications. The robot is designed with the necessary rigidity and balance to achieve smooth, accurate motion while cutting or transporting materials. Because the robot meets the IP 67 environmental standard, it can operate in the harshest production environments.

FANUC Robots

KMT Robotic Solutions and FANUC Robotics America have worked together to create the AccuTrim™ R-series (for routing) and WJ-series (for waterjet cutting) robots. AccuTrim™ robots are FANUC robots equipped with unique software geared to meet the specific needs of KMT robotic system users. KMT AccuTrim™ brand robots are optimized for increased speed and accuracy and faster and higher-quality small feature trimming. They have the improved ability to clone robot programs and run CAD-to-Path generated programs with minimal touch-up. FANUC robots have a Mean Time Between Failure Rating of over 64,000 hours (or 7 years in a three-shift operation). KMT Robotic Solutions is FANUC’s exclusive partner for waterjet and non-metallic routing processes in North America.

Motoman Robots

Motoman robots are also an option on KMT robotic systems. We use the Motoman HP 20, a general purpose robot with improved performance in a variety of applications where small to medium sized workpieces are handled. The robot has been designed for high speed in order to reduce cycle times. Due to its long reach, the HP20 also makes more efficient use of its working area.

Other robot brands

Other robot brands than those mentioned above can be integrated into our systems. Pleas contact us for further discussions.
