Arc Welding

KMT’s Robotic Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) systems are one of the most flexible and efficient welding solutions on the market today. KMT’s GMAW systems produce quality welds at high speeds with minimum part distortion. The robots can weld efficiently in a variety of orientations, can position the welding gun into tight spaces and can tolerate a relatively high amount of heat.

How Arc Welding Works:

KMT’s robotic Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) systems work when the weld gun, attached to a robot, establishes an electric arc between the workpiece and a consumable wire electrode that continuously melts as it is fed to the weld puddle. The weld metal is shielded from the atmosphere by a gas mixture that prevents the molten weld material from becoming contaminated, weakening the weld. KMT’s GMAW systems are ideal for welding steel, aluminum, stainless steel and copper, among others.
