Waterjet One Dimensional Cutting

Using precision machines and a high level of care, KMT Waterjet Systems produces advanced, ultra-high-pressure waterjet machines that are able to cut nearly any material. Waterjet machining offers many advantages compared with other technologies, including colder cutting, increased precision and a greater variety of applications.
Waterjet machines pressurize water up to 60,000 psi/4,100 bar. The high pressure water is then focused into a tight stream by a diamond or sapphire orifice ranging in diameter from 0.004" to 0.029". This stream is used to cut soft materials or is mixed with an abrasive (garnet) to create an abrasive waterjet stream for cutting hard materials, including metals such as steel or titanium.
With either a pure water or abrasive waterjet cutting machine, the applications can be broken down by dimension.
