One Dimensional Cutting
Slitting with a continuous waterjet stream is often used for one dimensional cutting. The frame of the system is usually quite simple; cutting speeds are high and the system is almost always water only. The most important considerations are speed of cutting, reliability and minimal moisture residue, which is very low due to the speeds and small waterjet stream.
Because very small streams are used (as small as 0,17mm) and the material is moving very fast beneath the cutting head (or in other cases, the head is moving very fast) water retention on the material is very low and many cutting heads can be used at the same time.
