Cutting Heads

The development in the waterjet cutting area has been increasingly focused on the optimization and automation of the cutting process. As the pioneer of waterjet cutting, KMT Waterjet has an obligation to our customers to provide solutions in this segment which are complementary to our leading high pressure technology.

Two basic types of valves are used in the cutting heads: Normally Open and Normally Closed. The Normally Closed valve stays closed (the stream is off) until air is applied. The Normally Open valve stays open (the stream is on), until air is applied. Both styles of valves are available for waterjet cutting and abrasive waterjet cutting.
